MARLBOROUGH, MA — The Cooperative Credit Union Association announces a new partnership with Rippleshot, a fraud detection fintech helping financial institutions identify and stop emerging fraud threats before losses spread.
Through the partnership, CCUA member credit unions can now access Rippleshot’s proactive fraud prevention tools and intelligence network, designed to help fraud teams identify emerging threats, respond more quickly, and better protect their members.
“Fraud continues to grow in both sophistication and speed, making it increasingly important for credit unions to have access to tools that help identify threats before they become widespread,” said Melissa Pomeroy, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Cooperative Credit Union Association. “Our partnership with Rippleshot gives members another resource to strengthen their fraud prevention strategies with actionable intelligence and innovative technology. We are pleased to welcome Rippleshot to CCUA’s lineup of trusted solutions providers.”
Rippleshot combines artificial intelligence, machine learning and intelligence generated from a network of tens of millions of daily card transactions to identify emerging fraud activity and potential merchant compromises. The fintech currently serves more than 1,100 financial institutions nationwide.
The partnership includes several resources designed to help credit unions move from reacting to fraud after it occurs to identifying and addressing threats earlier.
"We're looking forward to giving CCUA's credit unions tools that help protect their members and give their fraud teams one more advantage in an increasingly difficult fight,” said Nalani Brown, VP of Operations at Rippleshot. “Working with the CCUA team through this process has been a genuine pleasure. It's clear how much they care about their member credit unions, and that's what made this partnership so easy to get excited about."
Rippleshot’s solutions are designed to complement existing fraud prevention infrastructure rather than require a large-scale technology implementation. Solutions can be deployed in less than two weeks, with no heavy IT lift, helping credit unions begin using additional fraud intelligence quickly.
For CCUA, the partnership reflects the Association’s continued focus on connecting its members with vetted resources that address evolving operational challenges and strengthen their ability to serve and protect credit union members.
