What sets Fintech Connect apart and why I look forward to it every year

It’s May, which means we’re getting close to my favorite CCUA event of the year.

On June 17, CCUA, in collaboration with our partners at the Association of Vermont Credit Unions and the New York Credit Union Association, will host the Third Annual Fintech Connect Conference in Nashua, New Hampshire. Fintech Connect is CCUA’s only conference dedicated entirely to fintech, and while I may be a little biased, I truly believe it delivers a national-caliber experience designed specifically for credit union leaders.

What makes this event stand out is that it was built differently from the start. Fintech Connect is designed around direct engagement, meaningful conversations, and practical solutions that matter to credit unions right now. This isn’t about sitting through presentations all day and collecting business cards. It’s about making real connections and discovering ideas that can have a direct impact on your organization and members.

We’ve also been intentional about who is in the room. Participating fintech companies are selected based on the relevance of their solutions, the value they bring to credit unions, and their ability to help institutions improve efficiency, strengthen security, increase engagement, and enhance the member experience.

One of the highlights each year is the Cyber Showcase. Five fintech companies have been selected to pitch their solutions live to attendees, all competing for the much-coveted Cyber Cup. It’s always exciting to watch the energy in the room as innovative ideas take center stage.

Another favorite part of the event is Quick Connect. Think of it as speed networking with purpose. Up to 20 fintech leaders will sit down directly with credit union executives and decision-makers, creating opportunities for candid conversations and meaningful discussions. Attendees have dedicated time to ask questions, explore real-world applications, and identify opportunities that align with their institution’s goals and needs.

Fintech Connect was intentionally designed to move beyond passive learning. It’s about conversation, collaboration, and connection. From Quick Connect sessions and live demonstrations to case studies and the Cyber Showcase, attendees gain direct access to both emerging and established technology partners focused on helping credit unions compete, grow, and deliver greater value to members.

Space is limited, and this is one event I genuinely look forward to every year. I hope to see you there!
