Young Professionals Gather for 5th Annual YP Summit

The Cooperative Credit Union Association’s 5th Annual YP Summit brought together young professionals for a day of learning, connection and conversations about the future of the credit union movement.

Attendees explored changing demographics and what they mean for the future of credit union membership, along with the evolving ways credit unions can meet the needs of the next generation. The group also heard the inspiring story of college students taking on the challenge of opening a credit union, offering a powerful look at how the next generation is already shaping the movement.

“Every year, I’m more excited for this conference because it’s an opportunity to inspire, develop and ignite the future of our industry. I’m incredibly proud that CCUA invests in the growth of young professionals,” shared Aimee Morin, VP of Education and Operations, CCUA. “Their energy and engagement continue to exceed my expectations, and we’ll keep creating these opportunities because we see the value they bring to both individuals and the future of our industry.”

One of the day’s highlights was the CEO AMA panel, which drew more than 30 questions from participants for CEOs representing three of CCUA’s standout credit unions. The YP Roundtable also generated strong participation and discussion, while sessions on emerging fraud trends provided practical insights for young professionals to keep on their radar.

The Summit concluded with a look at the growing impact of artificial intelligence and what it could mean for YPs, their careers and the future of the credit union industry.

The event provided plenty of opportunities for attendees to ask questions, share ideas and build connections with peers across the movement. With the energy and enthusiasm on display, the future of the credit union movement is looking bright.
