Wave Federal Credit Union Awards 2024 Donald R. Staley Memorial Scholarships

Wave Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that the 2024 Donald R. Staley Memorial Scholarship winners are Pilgrim High School senior, Julissa Perez DeLeon, and Toll Gate High School senior, Jordan Brazeau. This year’s business scholarship award in the amount of $1,000 was presented to each recipient on May 22, 2024, by the credit union’s Board Chair, Kenneth Mallette, Jr., at Pilgrim High School’s Honors Night and by the credit union’s President and Chief Executive Officer, David P. Dupéré, at Toll Gate High School’s Honors Night.

Wave Federal Credit Union established the Business Scholarship Program in 2011 to recognize the scholastic achievements of graduating students pursuing a business or mathematics degree at any accredited college or university and established the Donald R. Staley Memorial Scholarship in 2014. Donald Staley was a math educator and administrator in the Warwick Public School District for over 40 years and served as Board Chairman of the Warwick Municipal Employees/Anchor Federal Credit Union and as a Director of Wave Federal Credit Union which encompassed over 20 years of service. 

David Dupéré said that the credit union looks forward to continuing the partnerships in the Warwick Public School District at both high schools and expressed appreciation to the Principal of Pilgrim High School, Toby Gibbons, and the Principal of Toll Gate High School, Candace Caluori, for their continued dedication and support of the credit union sponsored CU4 Reality Financial Education Program and Fair.
