Wave FCU Unleashes Support for The RI SPCA

On Saturday, September 14, 2024, Wave Federal Credit Union proudly sponsored the 22nd annual Paws in the Park, hosted at Goddard Memorial State Park in Warwick, RI. The event, benefiting the Rhode Island SPCA, attracted hundreds of enthusiastic pet owners and their dogs for a day of fun, while fundraising for a great cause.

The weather was bright and sunny, making it the perfect day for participants to enjoy a variety of activities, including dog walks, a canine costume contest, interactive vendor booths, food trucks and raffles with grand prizes.

Adding a personal touch to the event, Wave FCU staff designed and wore custom-made shirts featuring their own dogs “Riding the Wave.” The team also handed out custom pens, by editing Wave’s logo to include a dog silhouette riding the wave—further highlighting Wave FCU’s unique involvement and showcasing the teams creativity and passion for both animals and the community.

Proceeds from Paws in the Park go directly toward the RISPCA’s efforts to find homes for animals, provide humane education, and fund their critical Humane Law Enforcement Department, which assists animals in need. With over 150 years of service, the Rhode Island SPCA remains a vital part of the state’s fight against animal cruelty.
