Wave Federal Credit Union is proud to announce the recipients of its 2025 scholarship program, awarding a total of $7,000 in scholarships to help support local students in their pursuit of higher education.
As part of its longstanding commitment to education and community enrichment, Wave presented the prestigious Donald R. Staley Memorial Scholarships to two deserving students during their respective Senior Honors Nights. Carter Nolan from Toll Gate High School and Steven Chase from Pilgrim High School each received a $1,000 scholarship in recognition of their intention to pursue degrees in mathematics or business administration. The awards were presented by Wave’s Chairman of the Board, Kenneth M. Mallette, Jr. Photos of each student receiving their scholarship alongside Mr. Mallette are included.
In addition to the Donald R. Staley Memorial Scholarships, Wave awarded five additional $1,000 Scholarships to student members who are either recent high school graduates or are currently enrolled in college. Traditionally, four winners are selected; however, due to the exceptional quality of this year’s applicants, Wave chose to honor five students instead.
“We were incredibly impressed by the achievements, dedication, and aspirations of all the applicants this year. It was impossible to narrow it down to just four winners, so we are proud to extend scholarships to five outstanding students,” said David P. Dupéré, President and CEO of Wave Federal Credit Union.
The scholarship recipients are: Alyssa D. Moffat- currently enrolled at the University of Rhode Island (URI), Hanna E. Cotter- attending Quinnipiac University, Declan D. Perry- attending the University of Rhode Island (URI), Blake Catherine Murray-attending the University of Notre Dame, and Brady M. Erwin- attending the University of Rhode Island (URI). Each scholarship recipient was invited to the credit union to receive their award.
Wave remains committed to supporting the educational goals of its young members and looks forward to seeing all seven students excel in their academic pursuits.
