HeadshotService Credit Union is pleased to announce the promotion of Rob Derrickson to Vice President of Real Estate, a newly created role designed to support the organization’s long-term strategic growth.

In his new role, Derrickson will lead efforts to cultivate a strong sales culture, drive self-sourced loan production, and guide his team in navigating the evolving real estate landscape.

Derrickson, who has been with Service CU for nearly 11 years, brings a wealth of experience in mortgage banking, having held roles as an originator, underwriter, and lending manager throughout his career. His tenure at Service CU has been marked by several promotions, reflecting his deep knowledge of the business and a consistent ability to take on increasing responsibilities.

“I’m looking forward to new challenges and the opportunity to build upon our success by continuing to drive growth in real estate lending in support of our overall strategic goals.” said Derrickson.

The national search for the Vice President of Real Estate began in February 2025, when Service CU engaged executive recruitment firm Robert Half to lead the process. Derrickson was one of more than 250 candidates contacted as part of the search.

“We’ve grown our real estate balance sheet to just under $2 billion, a significant milestone that reflects the strength of our current strategy and execution,” said Mark O’Dell, Chief Retail Officer at Service Credit Union.

“Looking ahead, our next area of growth will focus on loan officer-sourced loan production. Rob will take the lead on this initiative while continuing to grow and refine our existing business model.”
