Rutland Herald Readers Select Heritage Family as 2025 Best of the Best Credit Union

Heritage Family Credit Union (HFCU) announced that it has been selected as 2025 Best of the Best Credit Union in the Rutland Region by the readers of the Rutland Herald. The award is a repeat honor for the Credit Union, with Heritage Family having previously been a recipient in 2024 and past years as well. 

“With Heritage Family Credit Union’s corporate headquarters based in Rutland, it’s especially meaningful to be recognized by our local members and readers of the Rutland Herald, making this an honor that truly hits close to home,” said HFCU President and CEO Chris Gomez. “Knowing that those who voted for us selected Heritage Family based on their firsthand experience of our staff, products, and services is not only reassuring, but also a true testament to the Credit Union’s unwavering, 69-year commitment to its members and the communities where they live.” 

In addition to the Rutland Herald, earlier in 2025 Heritage Family was named Best Credit Union in Rutland and Bennington Counties by readers of Vermont Business Magazine a.k.a. Vermont Biz. In 2024, the Credit Union also was recognized by readers of the Bennington Banner/Manchester Journal and the Lakes Region Free Press as Best Credit Union in their respective readership areas. The Credit Union also recently received the 2025 Vermont Governor's Excellence in Worksite Wellness Award, which creates a standard of excellence for worksite wellness and initiatives while also recognizing the efforts of Vermont employers to enhance productivity, bolster a healthy environment, and improve employee wellbeing.
