Meet Our 2024 GAC ‘Crashers’

Along with their ‘home’ credit unions, the Cooperative Credit Union Association is proud to have these enthusiastic young professionals joining our Advocacy program at this year’s Governmental Affairs Conference in Washington, DC. As ‘Crashers’ they will have a busy week immersed in credit union advocacy and culture, fueling their credit union passion, and learning how to make their voice count.

“I’m excited to have ‘Crashers’ from each of our member states attending GAC this year,” said Cooperative Credit Union Association President/CEO Ron McLean. “These young professionals will have an unparalleled opportunity to build personal relationships with their legislators as well as peers throughout the industry. When you see them at CCUA member-exclusive events, and throughout the GAC, please celebrate their accomplishment with them!”

This is the fifteenth year that the CCUA has participated in the Filene Research Institute’s Cooperative Trust “Crash” Program, designed to empower credit union young professionals through professional development and by finding and amplifying their voices to advocate for the role of young people in the industry.

Crashers, selected through a highly competitive process, earn a non-stop, career-changing opportunity to participate in the industry’s largest advocacy conference with complimentary registration, exclusive networking opportunities, leadership development tools, and mentoring sessions with industry leaders. Crashers will leave the nation’s capital with a new hunger to help strengthen their communities and organizations.
