Lynn A.M. Weinstein Appointed Chair of the Board of Directors at Coastal1 Credit Union

headshot of Lynn WeinsteinBrian Azar, President and Chief Executive Officer of Coastal1 Credit Union, is pleased to announce that Lynn Weinstein has been appointed Chair of the Credit Union’s Board of Directors.

She becomes the fifth Chair of the Board and first female to serve in the role.   Lynn has been a member of the board for the past 35 years, most recently serving as Vice Chair (2012-2026) in addition to Secretary (2010-2012), Treasurer (2004-2010) and Board Member since 1991 respectively.  

She is owner/operator of a successful interior design firm, LMW Designs, specializing in residential and commercial spaces by utilizing a spectrum of design principles from space planning to lighting, color selection, and more. Prior to opening LMW Designs, in 2006, Lynn worked as a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in the family business. She holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island and is an ardent supporter of the credit union’s community volunteer initiatives, in addition to The House Rabbit Rescue.

Lynn succeeds outgoing Chair Ronald LeClair. He has been with Coastal1 for the past 32 yrs, as Chair (2010 – 2026); board member (1993-2009); and Supervisory Committee member (1991-1993). During his tenure, assets grew from $1.25 billion to $3.47 billion; from fourteen branch locations to nineteen; and membership totaling 66,000 to now more than 146,900.
