HRCU Accepting Nominations for its 2025 Annual HRCU Scholarship

Holy Rosary Credit Union (HRCU) announces the 2025 Annual Scholarships application is now open. This year, HRCU will offer a record 15 - $1,000 scholarships to local students. It will also offer $1,000 awards to students of employees. Recipients will be honored at an event at HRCU’s headquarters in June.

“HRCU’s commitment to be there for all of life’s moments includes helping our young members invest in their future,” said HRCU President and CEO Brian Hughes. “Each year we are impressed by all the applicants and their commitment to their education and their communities, and we know this year will be no different.”

To be eligible, applicants must be accepted or currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, vocational, technical, or trade school as a full- or part-time student. Applicants must also be an HRCU member. In 2024, the program evolved to offer a second set of awards to children of HRCU employees who are graduating high school with plans to pursue a post-secondary education. Recipients are selected based on academics along with school and community involvement.

HRCU’s annual scholarship program began in 1996. Since then, it has awarded 277 scholarships to local students totaling more than $278,000.
