HR Network Meeting: From ER to PCP

The HR Network gathered for a full day of learning and collaboration, beginning with an engaging morning session led by Yvonne Alston, Chief Culture Architect and CEO/Founder of Indelible Impressions. Yvonne guided participants through the shift from an “ER-style” approach to a more proactive “managed care” model of HR. Through hands-on exercises and lively discussion, attendees explored how to move from constant triage to more intentional, preventative people-management practices.

In the afternoon, Mike McKenna, Owner of DPM and The Medicare, presented a detailed session on Medicare and employer responsibilities. He clarified what employers should and should not do when assisting employees with Medicare-related questions, particularly for those over age 65 who remain on the employer health plan. Mike also reviewed essential tracking requirements and forms employers must maintain, underscoring the importance of helping employees make informed decisions about their healthcare options.

The day concluded with a networking reception, offering HR professionals a chance to connect, share insights, and unwind after a productive day of learning.
