Highlights from the 2025 Young Professionals Summit

The 4th Annual Young Professionals Summit at Bentley University brought together emerging credit union leaders for an energizing mix of networking, personal development, and thought-provoking discussions. From dynamic panels to interactive peer roundtables, the event was designed to inspire, empower, and spark new ideas.

As a first timer, I approached the CCUA Young Professionals Summit with an open mind and no specific expectations. After nearly 15 years in my career, I’ve attended numerous presentations, workshops, and summits, always hoping to gain at least one valuable takeaway. With outstanding keynote speakers, an empowering all-women CEO panel, interactive round table discussions and engaging Think Tank session, I found it challenging to choose a favorite aspect of my experience. What began as a low- pressure mindset quickly transformed into a benchmark for future events. By the time I left Bentley on Wednesday afternoon, I was inspired to seek out more opportunities networking with other Credit Union professionals, as well as engage with the CCUA Young Professionals Committee. 10 out of 10 recommend the CCUA YP Summit to anyone eager to be empowered by a room full of professionals ready to take on the world. For the fourth year in a row, the CCUA YP Summit had more attendees and delivered more value than ever before. The presentations were carefully crafted for the credit union industry’s rising stars and the CEO “ask me anything” panel gave us a glimpse of the mindset of our industry’s leaders. Perhaps even more insightful than the answers, however, were the dozens of thoughtful questions asked by this year’s attendees ranging from employee culture and supporting diverse communities to digital currency and balance sheet management. Through the YP Summit’s round tables, think tank sessions, and networking events, I met new colleagues who helped me think through operational efficiency and AI strategies, and I reconnected with a colleague whom I mentored in a previous Summit. I return to the YP Summit year after year for the opportunity to connect with so many bright, engaged industry peers in a setting that fosters collaboration and exploration.
