FRMCU Donates $3,000 to Support Local Animal Shelter

Fall River Municipal Credit Union is proud to announce a $3,000 donation to Faxon Animal Care and Adoption Center, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, medical care and adoption of animals in need. This contribution, made through the Credit Union’s Charitable Giving Account, reflects its ongoing commitment to the community and the continuous support of causes that matter most to its members and staff.

This donation will help Faxon Animal Care and Adoption Center, provide essential care to all animals in its care, including medical treatment, shelter, food and adoption support.

Schondek, President and CEO of FRMCU. President & CEO Matthew Schondek also stated that “As a Credit Union rooted in community values, FRMCU believes in giving back to the community that we belong to and working to make a positive impact where it is needed most.”

A check presentation was held at Faxon Animal Care and Adoption Center. During that time, John Panarese, Executive Director of the shelter, expressed much gratitude for the donation. He noted that “this generous donation from Fall River Municipal Credit Union will go directly to support all the animals in need at the shelter.” He also commented that the shelter is thankful for the Credit Union’s support and shared dedication to the community that we all live and in work in.” Lastly, he also encouraged attendance at the Beans, Brews and Recues event that will be taking place at Miss Lizzie’s Café on June 25th from 7am – 8pm. He noted that all food and coffee will be donated by the café and FRMCU will be matching up to $1,000 in sales that day.

FRMCU is a dedicated supporter of the community, and this donation is one of several community initiatives that the Credit Union supports annually, reinforcing the fact that FRMCU is not only a trusted financial institution.
