Delaware Credit Unions Engage with Senator Sarah McBride
On August 28th, Delaware Credit Unions welcomed Delaware State Senator Sarah McBride, a candidate for Congress at Large, for an intimate conversation on the credit union difference at Priority Plus Federal Credit Union in Wilmington. The conversation included community banking, personalized member lending, and policies promoting credit union growth, such as amendments in record retention regulations. CEOs, staff, and board members from Seven Delaware credit unions attended.
CCUA's Chief Advocacy Officer, Adrian Velazquez, noted the importance of this election for Credit Unions. During the Senator's remarks, McBride highlighted how credit unions uniquely continue to innovate to meet the financial needs of their members and how crucial Credit unions are in facilitating making the American Dream come true. In the fall of 2023, CCUA met with McBride virtually. The Delaware primary is Tuesday, September 10th, 2024, with polls open from 7 am until 8 pm.
