Special Edition: Reflecting on our Purpose, Progress, and Gratitude
As Thanksgiving week arrives, it feels only fitting to share a special edition of the Cooperative Connection—one wrapped in appreciation, reflection, and a dash of good humor. After all, this time of year has a way of reminding us to slow down, take stock, and acknowledge the many bright spots that carried us through another full and fast-moving year.
And full it has been. Conference season (is it ever not conference season?) is finally winding down, while strategic planning and budgeting are already shaping what’s ahead. A new year is coming into focus, and naturally, our attention begins to drift toward the future.
But before looking too far forward, this moment is worth pausing for. A chance to reflect on where we are, what we’ve accomplished together, and the steady, cooperative spirit that has brought us here.
Because when we give ourselves the space to step back, the view becomes clear: there is so much to be thankful for.
As the holiday season ramps up, here are just a few things the CCUA team is especially grateful for this year:
Every CCUA member institution—whether over $1B in assets or under $100M—makes it possible to do what we love most: support the credit union movement. Network meetings, roundtables, education programs, and new initiatives exist because of your involvement, feedback, and engagement. Thank you.
Together, these collaborative partnerships support nearly 2,500 credit unions and help protect their ability to serve members. Working alongside organizations so deeply aligned with the credit union mission is an honor—and a reminder that we truly are stronger together. Thank you.
Their expertise elevates our events, brings forward-thinking speakers to our stages, and provides cost-effective solutions for credit unions. Thoughtfully pairing the right tools with the right institutions is only possible because these partners share our commitment to service. Thank you.
Their trust, loyalty, and belief in cooperative finance keep this movement vibrant, adaptive, and growing. They remind us daily of our purpose and our shared responsibility. Thank you.
Few principles are as foundational—or as energizing. It is a privilege to work in an industry built on generosity, collaboration, and service. Thank you.
As we enter this season of gratitude, warm wishes go out for a happy, healthy, and restful Thanksgiving shared with those who matter most. Thank you for all that is done each day to strengthen our credit union community.
