Brian Azar, President and Chief Executive Officer of Coastal1 Credit Union, is pleased to announce the following promotions:

Ken Fredriksen has joined the Credit Union as Senior Vice President/Chief Financial Officer. He will be responsible for maintaining the organization’s financial stability while implementing comprehensive strategies and initiatives that drive the credit union’s sustained growth and success. Ken has over 20 years of experience in finance, specializing in strategic planning, asset liability management, investment portfolio management, analysis, and forecasting. He previously served at HSBC (NY), First Financial (NJ) and Trumark Financial (PA) Credit Unions. Ken holds a BA from Rider University and is active in the family church and with local charities.
Kathie Corrigan has been promoted to Senior Vice President / Controller. She has overall responsibility for the financial function of the Credit Union including regulatory reporting. Kathie has over 23 years with the Credit Union, most recently serving as SVP/Internal Audit. She has a broad background servicing in multiple roles across the credit union in addition to being instrumental in leading Asset Liability Management (ALM). She holds an MBA from the Manning School of Business at UMass Lowell as well as certifications in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) from the Institute of Internal Auditors; a Certified Fraud Examiner; a Certified Credit Union Internal Auditor (CCUIA), and a Certified Community Bank Internal Auditor (CCBIA).
James Noonan has joined the Credit Union as Vice President/Asset Liability Portfolio Manager. He will be responsible for overseeing the development of programs and models that monitor risk and liquidity, interest rates, capital stress testing and profitability. James has over 17 years in the banking industry, most recently serving as VP/Finance at Sharon Crescent United Credit Union. He holds a BA in Finance from Northeastern University and is a CUNA Certified Credit Union Executive. James has taught traditional Irish music at Boston College for 20 years in addition to performing in the greater Boston area.
