Coastal1 Credit Union Announces New Hires and Promotions

Brian Azar, President and Chief Executive Officer of Coastal1 Credit Union, is pleased to announce the following:  

Joseph Hindle has joined the Credit Union as Vice President Commercial Banking. His responsibilities include developing new relationships and supporting existing business members through a full range of commercial banking solutions, including lending, deposits, and cash management services, throughout Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. Joseph comes to the Credit Union with nearly 30 years’ experience in the commercial banking field, most recently serving as Commercial Lending Officer at HarborOne Bank and Bank RI respectively. He currently serves as Treasurer for the East Greenwich Chamber of Commerce, in addition to serving on the RI Loan Committee for the Southeastern Economic Development Corp.   

Michael Silva has been promoted to Vice President and IT Network Support Manager. He leads the Credit Union’s IT service desk team, ensuring timely and effective resolution of all technology related issues, including account provisioning, device replacements, and software support. Michael has been with the credit union for 6 years, most recently serving as Assistant Vice President /IT Service Desk. He holds a BS in Computer Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology and volunteers for the South Coast Tennis Academy. 

Kara Pereira has been promoted to Assistant Vice President of Dealer Relations. Her duties include building and maintaining partnerships with the Credit Union’s auto dealership network while serving as their point of contact for all lending needs, ensuring a smooth overall process. Kara most recently served as Dealer Relationship Manager and volunteers for the Pawtucket Boys and Girls Club & Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
