Brian Azar, President and Chief Executive Officer of Coastal1 Credit Union, is pleased to announce the following:
David Cox has been named Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. He leads financial planning, budgeting and forecasting functions; oversees financial reporting & analysis; manages asset & liability strategy including interest rate risk; oversees investment, cash flows & capital management; monitors the credit union’s overall financial performance and supports strategic decision making. David has over 30 years of experience in finance, having previously served at Bay State Bank, Rockland FCU and SCU (formerly Sharon Credit Union) in addition to serving as an Adjunct Professor at Suffolk University. David received his MSF from Suffolk University and holds the CFA designation – a globally recognized, premier credential for investment and financial professionals certifying expertise in portfolio management, investment analysis, ethics, and wealth management.
Anthony Botelho has joined the Credit Union as Vice President Commercial Lending. His responsibilities include building new while servicing existing commercial lending relationships in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. Anthony comes to the Credit Union with an extensive 40-year career in the banking industry, a proven track record and strategic mindset specializing in Commercial Lending. He previously held the position of EVP/Chief Commercial Lender Washington Trust and President/CEO of Freedom Bank respectively. He holds an MBA from Bryant University and formerly served as a Board of Director and Ethics Committee Chair for The United Way of Rhode Island. Anthony is currently volunteering for The United Way of RI and Special Olympics.
Amy DiGiulio has been promoted to Vice President of Retail Lending. Her responsibilities include directing all retail lending operations, including indirect marine lending, ensuring regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Amy has been with the Credit Union for 14 years, most recently serving as AVP/Retail Lending. She contributes to the credit union community through volunteer service and industry engagement.
