Central One Federal Credit Union Gives Back to the Community with $20,000 in Charitable Donations, Giving Trees, and Holiday Toy Drives

This December, Central One Federal Credit Union embraced the spirit of the season by giving back to the local organizations that strengthen and support its communities.

For the third consecutive year, Central One’s employee holiday party featured a festive charity casino night, turning celebration into impact. Employees and their guests enjoyed an evening of fun before cashing in their casino chips for raffle tickets. Each raffle winner selected a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit to receive a $1,000 donation from Central One, resulting in $20,000 donated to causes close to the hearts of its employees.

The nonprofit organizations receiving donations include:

  • Project New Hope
  • Abby’s House
  • St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital
  • YMCA of Central Massachusetts
  • Make-A-Wish
  • Our Bright Future
  • Milford Humane Society
  • Parkinson’s Foundation
  • Children’s Dyslexia Center
  • Wounded Warrior Project
  • Sterling Animal Shelter
  • Baypath Humane Society

Central One employees also helped make the holidays brighter for local children through Giving Trees and branch-wide toy drives. Giving Tree gifts provided by Central One employees supported Worcester DCF and Auburn Youth & Family Services, while toy drive donations benefited families through the following local organizations:

  • Auburn – Auburn Youth & Family Services
  • Shrewsbury – Shrewsbury Youth & Family Services
  • Milford – Santa’s Porch
  • Northborough – Toys for Tots
  • Westborough – Westborough Youth & Family Services
  • Worcester – Friendly House

Through charitable giving, volunteerism, and meaningful community partnerships, Central One remains dedicated to making a positive difference in the communities it serves—during the holidays and throughout the year.
