CCUA will bring Massachusetts credit unions together for a meaningful day of service on September 1, when it hosts a Bed Building event in support of the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless’ A Bed for Every Child initiative.
Through the MA Social Responsibility Committee, Massachusetts credit unions proudly support this program, which helps ensure children have a safe and comfortable place to sleep. A Bed for Every Child provides children with a bed, bedding, books, and a stuffed animal, while also offering parents education on healthy sleep habits.
The need for a safe place to sleep can have a lasting impact on a child’s health and well-being. By coming together to build beds, Massachusetts credit unions can help provide children with the comfort of having a bed of their own and the opportunity for a better night’s sleep.
The beds built during the September 1 event will be provided to children in the Central Massachusetts area. The event also offers an opportunity for credit union teams to connect with peers and make a tangible difference in the communities they serve.
