CCUA Holds Golf Tournament Benefiting Small Credit Union Assistance Program

The Haven Country Club in Boylston, MA, hosted the 9th annual CCUA Golf Tournament this month, benefiting the CCUA Small Credit Union Assistance Program. Despite wet and rainy conditions, attendees enjoyed a day filled with spirited competition and camaraderie.

Major sponsors, including TruStage, Direct Federal Credit Union, Alera Group, MemberClose and others, helped make the event a success, contributing to the event's enjoyable atmosphere with breakfast, beverages, and reception stations.

The Southbridge Credit Union team (Harry Theodoss, Tony Theodoss, Alex Lucas, and Rich Suitum) took home the Low Team Scramble title, while AllOne Credit Union’s team (Craig Madonia, Joe Normant, Matt Dufault, and Oscar O’Connor) secured the Low Team Gross award. Craig Madonia also claimed the Low Gross Score, and his teammate Matt Dufault captured the Low Net Score.

Notable individual performances included John Richard of GFA FCU with the Men's Longest Drive and Jaime Yates of Service Credit Union for the Women's Longest Drive. John Degnan of Harvard FCU won the Putting Contest.

Special recognition goes to the winners of the "Hit-the-Green" and Closest-to-the-Pin challenges, including Arjun Sahgal (Ascent Platform), Chris Hendrey (IC FCU), Ellen Ford (People’s CU), and Tom McGregor (GFA FCU).

The day concluded with a reception hosted by Winbrook and the grand prize of a $1,200 stay-and-play gift card to Foxwoods, provided by TriCorp FCU. Mark your calendars for next year's tournament at the Haven Country Club on September 15, 2025!
