The AVP – Regional Sales Manager / Hale Street Branch Manager is responsible for driving retail sales, business development, relationship growth, and sales accountability across the Credit Union’s branch network while providing leadership and management support to the Hale Street Main Office.
Approximately 25% of the role will focus on the Hale Street Main Office, including maintaining a regular on-site presence and providing leadership, coaching, and support to the two Assistant Branch Managers and branch team. The Assistant Branch Managers will oversee much of the daily branch activity, while the AVP provides management oversight, employee development, escalation support, and accountability for sales and service results.
The remaining 75% will focus on regional sales leadership, business development, and growth. The AVP will partner with Branch Managers to achieve sales goals, develop new business, deepen member relationships, and drive measurable growth in membership, deposits, loans, referrals, and product utilization.
Reporting to the VP of Retail Branches, the AVP will serve as a key sales and business development partner to Branch Managers, who will continue to report directly to the VP. The AVP will also collaborate with the VPs of Consumer and Residential Lending to identify lending opportunities, increase branch-generated loan activity, support lending initiatives, and ensure teams effectively identify and refer member lending needs.
A key focus of the role is creating consistent sales and business development accountability across the branch network through goal tracking, pipeline management, coaching, reporting, and follow-through. The AVP will serve as a hands-on sales leader, helping Branch Managers translate Credit Union growth objectives into measurable activity and results.
Responsibilities
- Hale Street Main Office Leadership & Support: Maintain a consistent presence at the Hale Street Main Office and provide leadership, coaching, and support to the two Assistant Branch Managers. Ensure effective management coverage, communication, member service, sales activity, and branch performance while providing guidance, escalation support, and employee development.
- Regional Sales Leadership: Partner with Branch Managers across the Credit Union to execute sales, business development, and growth strategies. Review sales results, pipelines, referrals, lending opportunities, and progress toward goals while establishing action plans and accountability.
- Business Development & Market Growth: Lead and coordinate business development efforts across Credit Union markets. Develop employer relationships, community partnerships, referral sources, networking opportunities, and other sources of new business. Maintain and track an active business development pipeline.
- Sales Goals & Accountability: Track branch sales goals, business development activity, referrals, membership and deposit growth, loan production, product utilization, and other performance measures. Provide regular reporting to leadership and address trends, opportunities, and performance gaps.
- Member Growth & Retention: Identify opportunities to deepen member relationships through additional products, services, deposits, lending, and referrals. Support Branch Managers in addressing retention concerns and improving the member experience.
- Retail Projects & Collaboration: Partner with the VP of Retail Branches, VP of Retail Lending, and other departments on initiatives supporting sales, business development, retention, and growth. Provide leadership with timely reporting on performance, opportunities, challenges, and progress toward objectives. Participate in committees, community activities, and other initiatives as assigned.
Compensation: The expected base pay range for this role is $75,000 to $94,000 annually. Compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, competencies, and certifications.
Requirements/Skills Needed
- 3–5 years of related experience, preferably in branch management, retail banking or CU sales, business development, and employee coaching.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, coach, and motivate teams to achieve sales, service, and growth goals.
- Strong organizational, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data and performance metrics, manage business development pipelines, identify opportunities, and turn insights into actionable strategies.
- Comfortable conducting business development outreach and representing the Credit Union in the community.
- Strong technology skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
