Training and Development Manager

Rhode Island Credit Union seeks a Training and Development Manager. The Training and Development Manager reports to the Senior Vice President/CHRO and plays a vital role in shaping the employee experience and driving performance across the Credit Union.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for onboarding new hires, delivering engaging training sessions, and traveling to retail branches to ensure consistent, high-quality instruction. With a strong focus on content creation, coaching, and program evaluation, the manager will foster a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and member-focused service. This position will also support various functions within Human Resources as needed and support all levels of management to determine training needs for the organization.

Requirements/Skills Needed

  • Must have a minimum of five years of proven experience in a Learning and Development management, or similar, role.
  • Prior experience working in a financial services (credit union) environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Fiserv Portico technology preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Psychology or Development or a related field is required.
  • Professional certification (i.e. CPLP/CPTD) is a plus.
