Worcester Red Sox Proposal
As the Triple-A Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox makes its move from Pawtucket, Rhode Island, to Worcester, Massachusetts, CCUA and its member credit unions are being invited to become a Founding Member of the new Worcester Red Sox.
Jack Verducci and Rob Crain with the Pawtucket Red Sox, are currently engaged in the process of signing up a limited number of "Founding Members" willing to make a monetary commitment to the franchise in return for a variety of benefits associated with the team and its new stadium that's to be built in downtown Worcester. The duo recently gave a presentation to interested CCUA-member credit unions outlining the value and benefits associated with Founding Member status.
Click the video screen below to watch a recording of the presentation.
Credit unions interested in becoming a founding member of the Worcester Red Sox (which requires making a ten-year monetary commitment that will entitle the credit union to all the benefits and assets described in the presentation) are encouraged to email Walt Laskos, SVP Strategic Communications at CCUA (wlaskos@ccua.org) at their earliest convenience.
In the email, please indicate your credit union's level of commitment. For example, what amount of funds would your credit union be willing to contribute each year as a Credit Union Founding Member? Remember, your commitment of these funds would be each year for a 10-year period. The funds would be added to those from other CCUA-Member Credit Unions participating as Founding Members.
