Norfolk Credit union is seeking an Operations Manager for our close-knit community credit union with a proud history and a strong vision for the future. Responsibilities

  • This role manages daily operations of the credit union and helps establish office procedures, maintain daily contact with staff, members, and the community to provide support, and maintain and build trusted relationships.
  • This role is also responsible for overseeing and enhancing the full scope of consumer loans and real estate loans as well as collections.
  • This candidate will oversee and have a strong working knowledge of ACH, share drafts, debit and credit card maintenance and processing as well as online banking and bill payer procedures.

Requirements/Skills Needed

  • Qualified candidates will have 5+ years in the financial industry (credit union experience preferred).
  • At least 5+ years collection experience.
  • Critical thinking to evaluate sources of information and draw conclusions and a strong working knowledge of credit union operations and philosophy.
  • Excellent communication skills and loan underwriting knowledge are key.
