CCUA Launches Small Credit Union Connection, a New Monthly Newsletter for Credit Unions with $300M in Assets or Less

Marlborough, MA – The Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA) launched the Small Credit Union Connection, a new monthly newsletter created specifically for credit unions with $300 million in assets or less. The newsletter strengthens year-round engagement by sharing tailored solutions, highlighting free or discounted offerings, and spotlighting key topics and trends impacting small credit unions.

Most CCUA member credit unions fall within the $300 million or less asset range, and Small Credit Union Connection is a dedicated channel for that community. Each issue will feature practical resources, special pricing opportunities, training discounts, and updates on programs intended to support the unique needs of small credit unions, and their long-term sustainability.

“Small credit unions continue to face rising expectations—from technology to compliance—while maintaining a strong commitment to member service,” said Ron McLean, President and CEO of the Cooperative Credit Union Association. “The Small Credit Union Connection is designed to provide targeted support each month through curated resources, peer engagement, and opportunities to better serve their members.”

CCUA’s support for small credit unions includes targeted tools, savings, and peer connection—built to help smaller institutions thrive, including:

  • A catalog of CCUA partners offering negotiated discounts and free services tailored to small credit unions.
  • A newly refreshed Small Credit Union section on ccua.org at www.ccua.org/smallcu
  • A dedicated Small Credit Union Network, an active peer community created exclusively for small credit unions to connect, share insights, and learn from one another.
  • Discounted pricing for events, conferences, and training programs, supporting access to professional development and networking opportunities year-round.
  • The CCUA Impact Grant Program for eligible credit unions with $300 million in assets or less, offering grants of up to $2,500 to support needs at the credit union level. Grant details are available at www.ccua.org/impactgrant.

CCUA’s small credit union support also includes tailored offerings, free virtual professional development opportunities, and the Association’s Impact Grant Program. The newsletter will also elevate emerging issues and trends shaping the financial services landscape, with a focus on what matters most to small credit unions.
