Washington, DC, is buzzing with energy as hundreds of credit union leaders from CCUA’s four states have arrived for the 2025 Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC), hosted by America’s Credit Unions. This premier event serves as a powerful platform for advocacy, collaboration, and championing the credit union difference on Capitol Hill.
CCUA kicked off the week with a dynamic networking reception at Bobby Van’s Grill on Sunday evening, bringing together dedicated industry leaders, first-time attendees, and this year’s enthusiastic young professional ‘Crashers.’ The evening set the stage for meaningful connections and discussions ahead of an impactful week.
CCUA President/CEO Ron McLean expressed appreciation for the strong turnout, emphasizing the critical role that credit union leaders play in shaping policies that support members and communities.
Tomorrow, CCUA’s Chief Advocacy Officer, Adrian Velazquez, and Director of Advocacy, Jessica Avery, will join President McLean in leading an in-depth briefing on the key legislative and regulatory priorities for 2025. This session will prepare attendees for productive meetings with congressional leaders on Wednesday—ensuring that the collective voice of credit unions is heard loud and clear.
Stay tuned for updates as CCUA members take action in Washington!
