CCUA Hosts Revamped Credit Union Bootcamp

The first Credit Union Bootcamp of the year kicked off last week at America’s Credit Union Museum, setting the stage for a transformative learning experience. With an updated curriculum tailored to meet the evolving demands of credit union professionals, participants explored the rich history and core principles of credit unions, gaining an understanding of cooperative ideals. The program featured a museum tour, offering invaluable insights into the captivating history of credit unions and the ethos driving financial cooperatives.

Beyond historical insights, the revamped training provided practical, hands-on sessions focusing on security, currency handling, and managing robbery situations, equipping attendees with essential skills for confidently tackling challenges. Moreover, crucial compliance topics such as BSA and OFAC were comprehensively covered, ensuring readiness to navigate regulatory landscapes. Emphasizing both historical context and future growth, the program empowered professionals to adapt to the evolving credit union landscape.

Armed with enhanced member service skills, participants left with renewed confidence in excelling in their roles. Looking forward, a virtual Credit Union Bootcamp is scheduled for June 26th, extending learning opportunities to a wider audience. Furthermore, a fall session in September promises additional avenues for professional development.

Cooperative Education remains committed to catering to the diverse needs of credit union professionals through ongoing program development, ensuring continuous learning and industry advancement. Watch for updated Cooperative Education training schedules in both the Daily CU Scan and your inbox!
