The Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA) is committed to fostering a professional, inclusive, and respectful environment for all conference participants — including attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, and staff. By registering for, sponsoring, or participating in this event, you agree to conduct yourself in a manner that upholds the values and reputation of both your organization and CCUA. All CCUA-related individuals, including, but not limited to, attendees, speakers, volunteers, exhibitors/vendors, CCUA staff, service providers, and others involved in the events, are expected to abide by this code, specifically, to uphold the principles of Professionalism, Respect and Responsibility:
* Professionalism: acting with integrity, courtesy, and in a professional manner;
* Respect: honoring differences in people, ideas, and opinions; and
* Responsibility: accepting ownership for one's own conduct.
1. Professionalism
All participants are expected to act with integrity, courtesy, and professionalism at all times. Behavior should reflect positively on your organization and the credit union industry.
2. Respectful Engagement
Respectful communication and collaboration are expected from everyone. Disruptive, aggressive, or disrespectful conduct toward other participants, vendors, or event staff will not be tolerated.
3. Harassment and Discrimination
CCUA maintains a zero-tolerance policy for harassment or discrimination of any kind, including but not limited to verbal, physical, or visual harassment based on gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability, or any other protected status. Harassment may include offensive verbal comments, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome attention. Sexual harassment—including unwelcome advances, requests for favors, inappropriate physical contact, or offensive remarks of a sexual nature—is strictly prohibited. Participants asked to stop any harassing or inappropriate behavior are expected to comply immediately.
4. Brand Representation
Promotional materials, displays, and conversations should remain professional, appropriate, and aligned with CCUA’s values. Vendors and attendees may not misrepresent products, services, or affiliations. Sexual language or imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including booths, presentations, roundtable discussions, workshops, parties, social media and other online media. For presenters, the presentation to be given will contain no materials from copyrighted works of CCUA or any other source(s) without the prior written permission of the owner of such copyrighted material.
5. Compliance and Conduct
All participants must comply with event rules, venue regulations, and applicable laws, including those related to safety, accessibility, and data privacy.
Consequences of Misconduct
CCUA reserves the right to take appropriate action, including verbal or written warnings, removal from the event without refund, or denial of future participation, if a participant violates this Code of Conduct or behaves in a manner inconsistent with CCUA’s standards.
