The Compliance Network offers compliance professionals a way to connect with each other in a professional but informal setting.
The Compliance Network meets regularly to tackle the "how-to" aspects of implementing and maintaining a compliant environment. Its purpose is to allow credit union staff to share best practices, discuss common issues, make new contacts, keep pace with the changing regulatory requirements and build industry relationships. Even if your credit union does not have a designated compliance officer, you can still participate.

“The Trustee Process.”
The meeting will feature special guest Jeffrey Siegel, Esq., and will expand on the recent program on trusts to address other types of legal and government-enforced requests and demands received by credit unions, including attachments, garnishments, IRS levies, subpoenas, prejudgment remedies, and others. The discussion will address how a credit union can determine proper service of process, and what internal procedures, best practices, and strategies should be in place to best protect the credit union and its staff in responding to the request or demand. The program will include a timeline takeaway for credit union frontline staff to refer to in the future when confronted with a legal document.
There is no cost to participate in either of these programs, but registration is required.
To register, or to send questions in advance, please send your name, title, and contact information to firstname.lastname@example.org. An agenda and meeting materials will be forwarded to all registered attendees in advance of the meeting.
