Team Spirit Rewarded with Sweet Prize from Hanscom Federal Credit Union

The Cyber Integration branch for the Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence and Networks Directorate received a sweet surprise this week when they won the Top Dog award for the most team spirit at the quarterly Team Hanscom Awards. Their prize? A candy-filled fire hydrant trophy, compliments of Hanscom Federal Credit Union.

US Jobs Gain Modest in July; Unemployment Rate Drops to 3.9%

Hiring slowed in July, though the unemployment rate fell to 3.9%, as the U.S. economy continued to deliver solid performance despite concerns about ongoing trade tensions. Companies added 157,000 jobs in July, lower than a consensus estimate of 190,000 from Econoday, but pushing the unemployment rate down to 3.9% from 4% in June, the U.S. Labor Department said in its Aug. 3 report.

Priority Plus FCU Celebrates their Members’ Birthdays!

Priority Plus FCU acknowledges their members’ birthday each month by displaying a lobby sign “Happy Birthday to members born in the current month”.  Each month e-mails are sent to members celebrating their birthday, encouraging them to stop in the credit union to receive a promotional item as their birthday surprise.

Hanscom FCU Charitable Foundation Makes $10,000 Donation to 2018 Run to Home Base

The Hanscom Federal Credit Union Charitable Foundation made a $10,000 donation to sponsor the 2018 Run to Home Base on Saturday, July 28, 2018. The annual 9K run and 5K run/walk at historic Fenway Park raised money for Home Base, which provides clinical care to veterans, service members, and their families. Runners and walkers concluded the event with the unforgettable experience of crossing the finish line at Fenway’s home plate.

2019 Wegner Award Nomination Deadline Approaching

With a deadline of August 10, 2018, credit union supporters are encouraged to nominate individuals and organizations for the Herb Wegner Memorial Awards to be presented by the National Credit Union Foundation (the Foundation). Winners will be honored at the Foundation’s annual awards and fundraising gala on March 11, 2019 in conjunction with the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) in Washington, D.C.

Service Credit Union Supports Seabrook 250th Anniversary Celebration

Pawtucket Credit Union Partners with Genesis Center to launch ‘Keys to Success’ Vehicle Savings Program

Pawtucket Credit Union has joined the Genesis Center to launch Keys to Success, a new matched savings program for low- and moderate-income Rhode Island residents.  Keys to Success allows participants to set a savings goal between $500 and $2,000 and make regular deposits into a special savings account with Pawtucket Credit Union in order to work toward the purchase of a reliable vehicle. Once their savings goal has been reached, deposits will be matched by Pawtucket Credit Union so participants can complete an approved vehicle purchase.

RTN Federal Credit Union Provides Summer Financial Education for Youth
