Pawtucket Credit Union Announces Promotions and New Hire

George J. Charette, President and Chief Executive Officer of Pawtucket Credit Union, is pleased to announce the following promotions and new hires:

Paul Brassil has joined the Credit Union as SVP/Chief Information Officer and will oversee PCU’s Information Technology and digital innovation efforts. Paul has over 25 years of experience in the information technology leadership field with entities such as Commonwealth Medicine (a division of UMass Medical School), The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, EMC Corporation and Siemens IT Solutions and Services Inc. He holds an MS in Computer Information Systems from Bentley University and a BA in Business Administration from Bridgewater State University.

Paul’s community involvement spans initiatives focused on Workforce Development and Industry Leadership serving as: a member of the Tech Hire Advisory Group of Boston’s Private Industry Council (comprised of Boston CIOs developing summer intern programs for low/moderate income students in the Boston Public Schools); an Advisor for Fintech Women (helping women in banking/finance/fintech advance professionally through an inclusive community); is the former Co-Chair of the Evanta CIO Executive Summit and was honored as a nominee for Boston’s 2018 ORBIE CIO of the Year Award.

Linda Fish has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Information Security. She has over 20 years of experience in the IT Risk Management field most recently serving as Vice President of Information Security. Linda’s responsibilities include the administration, maintenance and execution of the Credit Union’s information security program along with ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. She holds the following certifications:  ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), ISACA Certified in Risk and Information Systems Controls (CRISC), and GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC). Linda is a volunteer for various community organizations including the RI Community Food Bank and Save The Bay.

Deborah Boory has been promoted to Assistant Vice President/Branch Manager. Her overall responsibilities include managing profitability, operations, regulatory compliance and employee development at our Cumberland branch location.  Deb has over 10 years with the Credit Union and previously served as Branch Manager. She holds a degree in Business Administration from CCRI and serves on the Board of Directors for RI MADD.

Alyson McCabe has been promoted to Assistant Vice President/Branch Manager. Her overall responsibilities include managing profitability, operations, regulatory compliance and employee development at our Warren Ave., East Providence branch location.  Alyson has over 14 years with the Credit Union and previously served as Branch Manager. She serves on the Board of Directors for Books Are Wings, is a member of the East Providence Chamber of Commerce and holds an Associate of Science – Business Administration degree from Southern New Hampshire University.                                              

Kathleen Porter has been promoted to Assistant Vice President/Branch Manager. Her overall responsibilities include managing profitability, operations, regulatory compliance and employee development at our Post Road/Apponaug branch location.  Kathleen has over 20 years with the Credit Union and previously served as Branch Manager. She serves On the Apponaug Association and is a member of the Central RI Chamber of Commerce.        

Monica Silva has been promoted to Assistant Vice President/Branch Manager. Her overall responsibilities include managing profitability, operations, regulatory compliance and employee development at our Sockanosset Crossroads, Cranston branch location.  Monica has over 14 years with the Credit Union and previously served as Branch Manager. She serves as Treasurer for The Pawtucket Soup Kitchen holds a Bachelor of Science – Financial Services Management from Johnson & Wales University.
