Naveo Credit Union Raises Over $300 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society During Their Annual Costumed for a Cure Event
Naveo Credit Union employees dressed up in costumes on Friday, October 30 and raised over $300 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society during their Costumed for a Cure event. Naveo raised funds at their branches in a little over a week and then matched the total donation amount.
The Costumed for a Cure event has become an annual participation at Naveo, one that members and employees have come to look forward to. In more recent years, the event has led to a competition between departments for “Best Group” costume, which ultimately led to more donations. This year, Naveo’s Cambridge Retail team dressed as healthy fruit options, the Somerville Operations team was the cast of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and some of our back-office team was Hercules, Day of the Dead skeletons, witches and postal workers!
To boost collections, employees were given the opportunity to trade in their business clothes for jeans the Friday before Halloween with a donation to the cause.
“I’m proud of the on-going commitment from our team to support the important work of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. It was a fun event for a great cause!” commented Andrea J. White, President and CEO at Naveo Credit Union.
