Michelle Dwyer, President/CEO Franklin First FCU, Appointed to CFPB’s Credit Union Advisory Council

Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Kathleen L. Kraninger has announced the appointment of Michelle Dwyer, President/CEO Franklin First FCU, to the Credit Union Advisory Council (CUAC). The CUAC advises and consults with the Bureau on consumer financial issues related to credit unions.

Additional appointments were made to the Consumer Advisory Board (CAB), Community Bank Advisory Council (CBAC), Credit Union Advisory Council (CUAC), and Academic Research Council (ARC). These experts advise Bureau leadership on a broad range of consumer financial issues and emerging market trends.

Cooperative Credit Union Association President/CEO Ron McLean congratulated Dwyer, saying, “We are pleased that Michelle was selected for the Council. She will provide a fresh perspective on challenges and opportunities facing credit unions and the members they serve.”
