HUECU Announces New Board Member at Annual Meeting

HUECU thanks former Board Member Jim Barrows for his service and welcomes new Board Member Gonzalo Muñoz Sanz.

On Tuesday, March 30, 2021 Harvard University Employees Credit Union held its 81st Annual Meeting virtually.

An election was also held on March 30th for five seats on the HUECU Board of Directors. Four incumbents were elected and will be joined by a new board member, Gonzalo Muñoz Sanz. Congratulations to our elected Directors: Dennis Campbell, Dee Dee Chen, Thomas Lucey, Gonzalo Muñoz Sanz, and Jerry Murphy. All of HUECU’s Board Directors bring years of experience and enthusiasm to the organization, and HUECU is excited to work with them over the course of their three-year terms.

HUECU also thanks former Board Member Jim Barrows for his two terms of service on the HUECU Board. Jim Barrows stepped down from the Board upon retiring after almost 19 years of exceptional service to Harvard University. As Associate Director of Community Affairs and Economic Development at Harvard, Jim built strong relationships within Harvard and the surrounding community, including local organizations and neighbors. Jim’s dedication to serving the community often included attending wakes, providing meals, and even carrying packages to help neighbors.

“Jim Barrows has been such a great contributor to our organization. He will be missed.” said HUECU President/CEO, Craig Leonard. “We wish him the best of luck during his retirement.”
