Food Pantry in Ayer Receives $4,000 from IC
Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry is the fifth recipient of $4,000 through IC Credit Union’s “Empower” initiative. “The past year has been a very difficult one,” said Patricia Stern, Executive Director of Loaves and Fishes, “with over 800 families receiving food and hope thanks to many giving individuals, businesses and community groups. To keep everyone safe, our volunteers are delivering food to a recipient’s car.” Patricia further stated that she is concerned for her volunteers with the winter coming and is working on a plan to have an actual “Drive Thru” window installed, which will require funding. Loaves & Fishes serves Ayer and surrounding communities.
“Loaves & Fishes has been a vital part of the Ayer community for many years,” said Holly Sanchez, SVP at IC, “and we are in awe of their dedication and are happy to do our part.”
