FHLB’s Hwang Provides New England Update at October’s Annual Meeting & Convention

What are the key economic opportunities and challenges in the years ahead? Is the strong growth in national output likely to continue? Is the yield curve signaling a recession in the near term?  Which industries are driving growth in the New England region? Will the tight labor market and slow projected growth in labor force constrain future growth in our region?

On Friday, October 12, at this year’s Annual Meeting and Convention, Jason Hwang will address these questions and provide a perspective on the national and regional economy during the New England Economic Update. As the economic environment changes, credit unions face the challenge of prudent liquidity management. In this strategic and business planning session, Jason Hwang will discuss how credit unions have been using the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston as an important part of liquidity and interest rate risk management.
