EANE Weekly: Hotline Call of the Week; Membership Tour; HR Essentials; and Harassment Training

Hotline Call of The Week

QUESTION:  Am I required to train my employees on the topic of sexual harassment?

ANSWER:

It depends on the state where you operate.  In Connecticut, the answer is yes - employers are required to train all their employees on the subject.  In Massachusetts and Rhode Island, the answer is no - it is not required but recommended.  Even if it is not required, sexual harassment training is a key investment that can help reduce the potential of that behavior occurring in the workplace and with that the potential of liability to one's organization. (See below for training on July 15th)
