Celebrating Our Honorees
Next week, during CCUA’s Annual Meeting and Convention at the Mohegan Sun Resort, we will invite our members to pay tribute to this year’s Awards of Excellence honorees. To celebrate the highly anticipated occasion, The Daily CU Scan will announce the names of this year’s honorees throughout the week . Today, we recognize two outstanding individuals in the category of Volunteer of the Year.
Coming tomorrow: Hall of Fame (Career Achievement)
Giulio Greco - Volunteer of the Year Honoree
Giulio Greco has served as an extremely active member on the Leominster Credit Union Board of Directors since 1978. He served as Chairman of the Board from 1994 to 1998, and then again from 2008 to 2011. Currently, Giulio serves on the Executive Board as Clerk and as a member of the Audit Committee.
Giulio is a lifelong resident of Leominster and his commitment to the Credit Union is astonishing. Giulio continues to constantly have Leominster’s members needs in mind, is always bringing new ideas to the table and he is never afraid to ask questions. He attends all Cooperative Credit Union Association conferences and seminars and is willing to learn about new and innovation ways of conducting business.
He is a valued member of our community and has made a positive impact on Leominster Credit Union. His upbeat demeanor is truly an inspiration to everyone. Anyone that knows Giulio would agree that his motto would most likely be: life is sweet – eat dessert first.
Charles Hamburg – Volunteer of the Year Honoree
Charles Hamburg has served in one position or another on Franklin First’s Board of Directors for 19 years. Charlie–as he is affectionally known—has held the position of Chair, Secretary, and most recently and most important, as Treasurer.
As treasurer, he also chairs Franklin First’s Asset/Liability Committee, which is where his knowledge and commitment shines.
As a firm believer in the credit union movement, Charlie has played a vital role in Franklin First’s continued success. His leadership and dedication through the years is deeply appreciated by everyone at the credit union. The hope is that he will continue in his valuable role as volunteer for many more years to come.« RETURN TO ALL NEWS
