CCUA Annual Business Meeting: Director Nominations DEADLINE TODAY

The Cooperative Credit Union Association, Inc. will conduct its 2019 Business Meeting of its members on October 18, 2019 in the Uncas Ballroom, Salon A, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Mohegan Sun, Uncasville, CT. The purpose of the meeting is to elect and qualify to serve on the Association’s Board of Directors (“Board”) those persons duly nominated as required by the bylaws.

In preparation for the upcoming meeting and election of Directors, eligible members have received by mail and email important information to assist in participating in the governance of the Association, which is simultaneously available on the Association’s website at, member login is required.  Materials and documents include the Annual Meeting Notice, Delegate and/or Alternate Delegate Certification forms and instructions, Candidate Nomination forms and instructions, and additional helpful information such as voter guides and frequently asked questions.

The Association’s bylaws, also available on the website, will govern the meeting. Important information and deadlines relative to the meeting and voting processes established by the Association’s Board of Directors are highlighted below:

Delegate and/or Alternate Delegate Appointments:

The appointment of Delegates and/or Alternate Delegates for voting purposes is required. Each member credit union may appoint one Delegate and/or one Alternate Delegate. Such designations previously submitted to the Association remain effective. Changes to appointments as well as new member appointments are welcome at any time in writing using a Delegate/Alternate Delegate Certification Form and must be received by October 11, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. EDT to be effective for this year’s annual meeting voting. Electronic Election of Directors:

For the 2019 Annual Meeting, an electronic election of the members of the Association’s Board of Directors by duly registered Delegates or Alternate Delegates will occur. The following directorships are open and scheduled for election in accordance with Article VII, Section 1(B) of the Association’s bylaws.

  • One (1) Director from Delaware;
  • One (1) Director from Rhode Island; and
  • One (1) At-Large Director, without geographical limitation, designated a “small asset size” At-Large Director.

Nomination forms are available and may be completed online. Ballots will be sent electronically to eligible members tailored for each state and member credit union. Votes may only be cast by credit unions for their respective state seats as well as for the relevant At-Large seat. The deadline for director nominations is September 13, 2019. Release of voting credentials and voting for directorships will open on September 23, 2019 at 12:00 noon and will close on October 15, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. EDT.

  • September 13, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. EDT-director nomination deadline
  • September 23, 2019 at 12:00 noon EDT-voting opens and electronic voting credentials released by the Association
  • October 15, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. EDT-member voting closes

CCUA Annual Meeting and Convention

The Association’s Annual Meeting, Convention and Trade Show will take place on October 16-18, 2019 at Mohegan Sun, Uncasville, CT. Registration for this event is a separate process from the Annual Business Meeting and is available HERE. In addition, consistent with the local advocacy tenet of the CCUA, distinct State Regulatory/Legislative Sessions for Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey and Rhode Island will be featured in the afternoon of Thursday, October 17, 2019.
