Berkshire County Chapter Makes Plans for 2019

Credit Union of the Berkshires hosted a planning meeting for the Board of Directors of the Association’s Berkshire County Chapter yesterday. The agenda included placing final touches on its upcoming December meeting as well as a preview of its 2019 calendar.

The Chapter Board remains committed to delivering its mission of “More Resources, More Networking, More Value” for members and unanimously agreed to expand its annual three-meeting schedule by sponsoring a new, local credit union community educational session outside of the traditional business meeting setting. This add-on “Mini-Chapter” meeting is designed to deliver useful educational content and plenty of time for networking delivered in a relaxed setting. Snacks are planned, to be hosted by Greylock Federal Credit Union, and a discussion highlighting practical tips for robbery responses organized by Chapter Director Mike Maddalena, MyCom Federal Credit Union.

The meeting date is targeted for Spring 2019, intentionally scheduled to take place after the Chapter’s December meeting and before its Annual Meeting, slated for Thursday, May 16, 2019 at the Pittsfield Country Club. The Annual Meeting will include special recognition for directors. The Association’s recently released Student Essay Contest, Scholarship Program and new CU Connect and Strategic Business partners were also discussed.

The next meeting of the Berkshire Chapter will be held on December 6 at Zucchini’s Restaurant in Pittsfield. The meeting will feature a holiday toy drive benefitting the Berkshire office of the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families. An innovative employee engagement program presentation by Bill Nagle, Association Vice President, Professional Development, tailored for the Chapter, will also be delivered.
