Rhode Island Governmental Affairs Day - January 16, 2019

Welcome to the 2019 Rhode Island Governmental Affairs Day. There are 20 credit unions in Rhode Island, who serve over 400,000 members and represent over $6 billion in assets. The mission and commitment of the Cooperative Credit Union Association, Inc. is to serve the community of credit unions in Rhode Island and their consumer members.

Credit Unions of Rhode Island are about people, not profits. When consumers bank at a credit union, they are a member, not a customer. Members in Rhode Island, earn more on their savings and pay less on their loans, and their money stays in the community, where it benefits them and their neighbors. Under the Association’s campaign banner – Better Values. Better Banking. – we are encouraging Rhode Island consumers to seek out and join a credit union to do their banking. Credit union values and principles are about serving the member first, and this campaign shows consumers that they will enjoy a better banking experience at a credit union because of the values and principles credit unions espouse and practice on a daily basis.

The 2019 Rhode Island Governmental Affairs Day is an opportunity to further the credit union mission, celebrate the success of our local credit unions, and inform others of the many ways Credit Unions of Rhode Island deliver Better Values. Better Banking. Please join us for the largest credit union event in Rhode Island to enhance the advocacy efforts of our local credit unions, network with your peers, and engage with officials.
