The Developing Great Managers program is an interactive, contemporary management training program designed to test, challenge, update, and enhance the management skills of experienced managers to encourage them to lead, inspire, motivate, guide, and shape the future.
Prerequisite: DiSC Personality Assessment (to be assigned at registration)

Managing Oneself
What kind of manager are you today? What do you aspire to be? And how do you get there?
Review of the DISC prerequisite and utilization of the tool to enhance your communication skills
Leadership vs. Management: What is the difference? Can you be one without the other?
Challenge your ability to plan, organize, prioritize, delegate, motivate, and shape the future
Manage your stress; manage your time; manage your emotions: Be in control of yourself
DAY 2 - Program: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Managing the Business
Ten industry challenges facing credit unions today
Introduction to Basic Financial Reporting: Balance sheet, income statement and ratios
Employment Law: Update and reinforce your knowledge and protect yourself and the credit union throughout all the stages of the employment process
Diversity: Recognizing, celebrating, and leveraging diversity for the credit union
DAY 3 - Program: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Managing Others
Motivation: It is different for each of us so we'll identify what you can do to enhance effectiveness, enthusiasm, cohesiveness...and results
Team-building: Manage, inspire, and motivate a team that respects and trusts you
Performance Management
