Volunteer of the Year
Charles Hamberg has served in one position or another on Franklin First’s Board of Directors for 19 years. Charlie–as he is affectionally known—has held the position of Chair, Secretary, and most recently and most important, as Treasurer.
As treasurer, he also chairs Franklin First’s Asset/Liability Committee, which is where his knowledge and commitment shines.
Charlie dedicates a lot of his personal time to looking over Franklin First’s financial history and researching economic factors, so he can be the leader that is needed in helping the board understand the credit union’s positioning.
Charlie always is a sound voice in budget, strategic planning, and policy discussions.
As a firm believer in the credit union movement, Charlie has played a vital role in Franklin First’s continued success. His leadership and dedication through the years is deeply appreciated by everyone at the credit union. The hope is that he will continue in his valuable role as volunteer for many more years to come.
