November/December 1989 The War on Drugs: Six Chicago Views

To find the best assessments of the drug abuse situation in Chicago, One City editor, Richard Bjorklund, interviewed six knowledgeable citizens whose professional responsibilities closely involve them with drug abusers and drug-control efforts.

Among those interviewed were the past commander of Chicago Police Department narcotics section, a community anti-drug campaigner, two experts in substance abuse prevention, a veteran crime fighter, and a leading advocate of protection for civil liberties.
